Can I say this on Trip Advisor...

I'm writing a bad review and I'm trying to keep it as factual as possible, and I don't want to say anything that the company could sue me for.

Basically, something happened that made me feel discriminated against, harassed and victimised.

Can I say that, 'the company discriminates and supports victimisation and harassment'?

Or can I only say that the company made me FEEL discriminated against, victimised and harassed?

I feel the first statement has more weight, but I don't want to get into trouble...

Many thanks for any opinions :)

They do moderate or check before publishing....i know an awful couple with a b and b in uk....i know privately they make racist comments about the chinese....and surprise...some chinese guests left bad comments and felt hosts were racist...it got published....!!

OP I think the first is fine if you give an example of the harassment. Like when an Air b&b owner screamed at me and friend cos she thought were a lesbian couple.

'the company discriminates and supports victimisation and harassment'?

Do you feel confident to state that the company as a whole discriminated /supports victimisation/harassment? In that it wasn't just one employee, whatever happened was supported/encouraged by management or reflective of a company wide policy?

I think you could only say ‘the company’ if you complained about one or more employees and your complaint was dismissed by management or you were treated the same or worse by them!

Otherwise you should put that it was a certain employee or employees that upset you.

I would say 'I felt' and give reasons/examples.

When reading reviews I give most weight to the evidence rather than statements - it will also be much harder for the recipient to have it removed regardless of any legal action.

In the end, regardless of validity, it is an opinion.

Thanks all! So I felt harassed by a staff member, and the company/manager supported them and dismissed my complaint...
