Kids being abused in school by teachers?

I've read a lot in the papers in the last few days and it's scary. How can we protect our own kids? I'm having anxiety...

This was reported this week , ex-pupils of a top London state school.

Not sure why everyone is having a go at OP for highlighting this - parents should be more alert, and can only do this by sharing information, we should educate ourselves constantly as these things are happening to children by people who are paid to be in a position of trust, whether abuse occurs as much at home or at school is irrelevant.
