Thanks to a snoring DH I need to find ear plugs that are comfortable enough to wear when side-sleeping. I'll pay pretty much anything if they work! Help!

Not a direct answer as I haven't managed to find any that work for me (tiny ears) but the headband style headphones with an audio book or white noise work ok for me.

These ones - I’ve been buying them for years

20 Pairs Corded Ear Plugs Reusable Silicone Earplugs Sleep Noise Cancelling for Hearing Protection (Color 5) www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07SWJJW8Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_ZHHQ280JKA4KBNHRY0E0?psc=1&_encoding=UTF8&tag=mumsnetforu03-21

Thanks @Hiheyho but I'm not sure they'd work for me as I toss and turn a lot I think that cord would drive me mad!

@SuperLoudPoppingAction my sister uses one of those headbands for listening to podcasts etc but I don't want to listen to anything I just want to sleep and I think that turning onto my side regularly would cause them to move off my ears.

I use moldex spark plugs, available from Amazon and eBay, lovely and soft good noise reduction and comfortable if like me you side sleep

QuestionableMouse · 06/09/2021 13:16

I use these and they work really well.

I did trim the stems quite a bit but they're really comfy and block a lot of noise. They're a silicone rather than foam so are reusable too.

WTFisNext · 06/09/2021 13:22

I second the ones QuestionableMouse uses. I've been using them for a year and because they're washable they're still going strong.

(Hope that copied and pasted link works?)

I use ear soft fx 39 decibel reducing earplugs

I buy the big boxes off tool websites, because my husband snores SO BADLY!

However I got a little mixed bag of earplugs from Amazon to try lots out before I decided on these so I recommend you have a look there and get a few trial packs.

Not exactly eat plus but these work for me.

DH is getting deaf and has the TV turned up very loud. I can get off to sleep with it blaring so long as I have something on these headphones to tune into.

No wires and very easy to sleep on your side

I usually listen to old comedy programs on BBC Sounds. Hope you find what works for you you.

The silicone ones from boots or Bio ears from boots or Amazon- silicone just branded. I've been sleeping with them for years. I have awkward shaped ears and they're the only ones that will stay in

SallyOMalley · 07/09/2021 07:32

I use silicon ones too. I have these ones at the moment, but there are loads of different brands out there.
