We've got chickens so we quite often get a visit from the fox. The chickens are in a super secure fox proof location so am not worried about them. I have started leaving a few extra eggs on the lawn and tonight instead of 1 fox there was 3 Shock

@WheelieBinPrincess
I had four last year and now there are only three I’m sure the large ones are the parents, one of them is really big
I love their little ears and the way they trundle round the garden really fast
One sat on my foot a few weeks back and was actually sniffing my toes with his little cold nose (I was wearing flip flops)
I don’t think obstacles mean anything to them !
Ooh I can hear them emerging now ! They aren’t subtle

I learnt something interesting about foxes the other night. When foxes get into hen houses and slaughter them all its becuase its their nature to store and hide food for later on but becuase they get disturbed when we hear the noise and the dead prey gets removed it looks to us like they've killed just for fun.

Seems I've crossed posted with a few people but glad others have heard this too

When I was little my mum surprised me with a trip to the local farm where I got to choose a pet rabbit. I picked a gorgeous girl the colour of caramel. A few weeks later a fox got into the hutch and killed her. It was awful, I was literally that traumatised six year old, but I've never blamed the fox 🦊
