Where would you put a bag of avocados?

Last week I bought a bag of cheap ripen at home avocados. I put them in a bag on the windowsill and 2 days ago saw that they were lovely and ripe and remember thinking it was time to put them in the fridge.

Except I didn't. They are definitely not on the windowsill any more, so I clearly moved them. And yet they are not in the fridge, or in any other food cupboard.

So mumsnet, where have I put the stupid things? Suggestions welcome...! I even just checked under the stairs.

@SomethingNastyInTheBallPool you're the winner. I checked the garage this morning and they were on top of the lawnmower.

I have figured out what happened. DH is to blame. I asked him to put a bag of DIY bits and bobs that were by the back door in the garage a couple of days ago. The bag didn't budge so I assumed he had forgotten and shoved it under the kitchen sink instead. DH had somehow decided that the bag of avocados by the window was what needed moving into the garage and put them there (despite him claiming he had no idea where they were).

Avocados now safe in the fridge, although probably well past their best. DH as yet oblivious.
