Can you find out who sent you something from Funkypigeon.com?

I received a postcard and they won't tell me who sent it. It was a little cheeky shall we say. I don't know anyone called Phil so it could have been a joke? They will not say where it came from when I contact them by email.

Maybe it was meant for someone else?

ValerieCupcake · 31/08/2021 13:55

It had my address and name on it pre-printed and said Love and Kisses Phil. I am flummoxed. My flabber is gasted. Definitely.

Hmmm can you threaten them with a GDPR complaint? They processed your personal data (name and address) without your consent. Not sure if it's a valid complaint, but it might be enough to shake an answer out of them.

It's possible it was a mix up. I have a vague memory there was a mistake made by either them or Moonpig or similar posting a card to the wrong address a couple of years ago - caused problems .

BertieBotts · 31/08/2021 14:13

Yes that's what I mean - maybe something got crossed in their database and instead of Phil's GF's name and address their computer spat out yours.

This is hilarious, I love MN Grin

GPDR complaint 🤣🤣

No they wouldn't be allowed to pass on information about the sender.

Hopefully whoever it is let's themselves be known soon. Probably one of your mates having a laugh

But wouldn't revealing the name of the sender also be against GDPR if we're going down that route?
Urghhhhh · 31/08/2021 15:34

@BarbaraofSeville, yep, I didn't think it through =(

MooBoom · 31/08/2021 15:39

I get why they can’t tell you but I also think if it was sent to someone let’s say suffering with anxiety, or any type of mental health issue, or someone who has had an unpleasant experience such as being stalked etc - this could really set them off.

ValerieCupcake · 31/08/2021 15:41

I think I have been sent it as a joke. By whom though I haven't found out.
