To any hospital staff, how best to say thank you ?

I recently spent a week in hospital on a busy ward. Obviously there are large numbers of staff, some regulars, many agency.
A couple stand out but lots I didn’t catch names (PPE and masks make it harder).
I'd just like to send something nice in and wondered what would be welcome. Happy to do biscuits/ chocolates though it seems boring. Also aware they can't remove PPE so perhaps some individual things people could grab to take home? Small boxes of chocolates?
Can anyone recommend a way to do it. I can't go in personally as still very unwell.

(Polite) descriptors may work - a MW friend used to receive thank you cards for “the redhead”, “the Brummie one” “the redhead Brummie” - apparently staff are very good at establishing who’s who based on dates/times you were in.

I’m not NHS but I’d imagine chocolates/sweets that were individually wrapped would be more feasible than the alternative.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

How funny, I've been pondering the same. My MIL has had an extended stay in various wards, we want to say thank you and let the staff know how much we appreciate the care they give. Maybe a box of celebrations, or I wondered about a catering box of individually wrapped biscuits. Plus a card. Or costa vouchers (there's a concession in the hospital). I wish you well in your recovery.

Ah bless you OP, to be honest an email to give positive feedback is always very appreciated and is more than enough. If you did want to give something though individually wrapped biscuits/sweets/cakes are always a winner at the moment.

Borders biscuits, can get a box on Amazon for £11, they're wrapped in packs of 2.

Pens go down very well! Chocolates, biscuits, fruit baskets also popular. If you do a thank you letter/card, say thank you to everyone who looked after you and mention names if you can, as TheWayTheLightFalls says, we get slightly wrong names (think Karen for Carolyn) but we know who you mean and we appreciate that you’ve taken the time to write.

Multipack of full fat cans of juice and crisps. Always went down well on the ward I was in and is now my go to. As they aren't available at the concessions or vending machines.

A box of tea bags, jar of coffee, bag of sugar and a few packets of biscuits please!

Just a normal sized supermarket box of tea bags and normal sized jar. We'd be very happy 😊

I was recommended biros and lip balm and hand creams.

Plus cards that were specific about what was done well.

I left one pack for the Ambulance crew, one for A&E and another for the ward.
