Beans, or cheese?

If it makes a difference, it’s Heinz beans and a mix of cheddar and mozzarella cheese..

No butter, so don’t suggest

Beans don't go on a baked potato, the texture is all wrong. Cheese, Longley Farm cottage cheese, butter, salt and pepper, all mushed together, the order does not matter.

@BarbaraofSeville you are right on many things but on this you are WRONG! And I'm unanimous on that.

You mix cheese and better into the potato so you have cheesy mash. Then beans. Then more cheese.

Butter, beans then cheese. Can't stand Heinz beans anymore though, has to be Branston. Heinz tins are all watery tomato juice and no beans now

Beans, then sprinkled with a little (huge fistful) of strong cheddar, back in the oven until brown & bubbling (sometimes with a big blob of Branson in the middle either before or after browning). Nice.

I’ve got a baked potato awaiting, just beans and cheese to add.

I might go beans, cheese, then under the grill for a few mins so the cheese bubbles…

I find that doing cheese on either side of the beans means the cheese melts into both the beans and the potato.

Definitely beans first then melt the cheese ontop. Food of the Gods! Oh & black pepper.

No butter, then you need to mash the cheese into the potato first then beans on top. But then I don't like too much visible evidence of cheese myself.

Beans done on the hob with grated cheese melted in, the pour them over the potatoe, extra cheese grated on top to finish...mmmmm im hungry now
