It's for a big family gathering to celebrate a golden wedding anniversary and it has to take place in the late May / early June school holiday next year as this is the only time that works for everyone. Due to the wide range of locations that everyone lives in, we're looking at Scotland and the whole of the North of England. One of the guests is a wheelchair user and will need a downstairs accessible room with a fully accessible bath / shower room. We have looked at loads of places but this is a pretty tall order and we're not having much luck finding anywhere suitable with availability! Does anyone know of anywhere that might fit the bill?

This is awesome, thanks everyone! It's taking me a while to work through all the links - a few can't accommodate all of us or have no availability for the dates we need but so many great ideas, I really appreciate your help Flowers

[quote autumnboys]We have stayed here several times. It’s mid-Wales, so not the area you’re looking for, but worth considering.

Oh that one looks wonderful - it's just too far for the people travelling from the Highlands! What a shame, so much cheaper than most of the others I've looked at too... aargh!

I stayed in a 5 bed bead Hexham 5 years back, was £1700 then for the week not school holidays and one bedroom had an accessible wet room. There was a snug and a lounge, the snug could be used as an extra bedroom

Several of these National Trust cottages in a group n Yorkshire look like they are available. One (Wren) says it’s fully accessible, I don’t know how accessible the others are for socialising.

We have a property,but its in the Midlands.Near Stratford/Warwick.
Sleeps 10.this includes a disabled room with large wet room. Rising bath. Hoist is electric and goes from profile bed to wet room.
It also has an adult change table next to the bath.
The garden has hot tub and pool table. The garden is Wheel chair friendly.
