Bright colours for boys clothes

Where are people seeing bright boys clothes these days?
Sainsbury's Tu was a go-to for me, but having a look this morning to get DS some clothes in 4-5 and they seem to have gone the same way as other places in their colour selection for boys (green, blue, grey, brown).
Frugi has gone a bit too pricey in their latest season for me to justify really.

Where are you buying brights for boys please Grin

Next but online as the shops seem to just have sludge.

Hercisback · 27/08/2021 07:38

Boden has some nice stuff but up in the frugi price range!

maxiflump1 · 27/08/2021 07:41

Boden has 20% off kids wear at the moment. I love the space range they have in at the moment.

There an independent brand called Beeboobuzz that does bright clothes and is reasonably priced.

Eileen101 · 27/08/2021 07:43

Hmmm interesting, I've not really tried Boden or next. Will have to look at both. Maybe I can justify Boden/new frugi prices if DD will wear it after Grin
I presume Boden quality is good? I've heard frugi quality this season has gone downhill.

eBay. I’ve just bought a few clothes bundles, all really nice and in good condition.

TheWayTheLightFalls · 27/08/2021 07:46

I find the only way is to trawl all the major supermarkets (online) and shops and manually look for shirts, shorts etc by searching all their products. Time-consuming but works. For example George/Asda sells multipacks of brightly coloured plain tshirts with not a brown or dino in sight.

Albgo · 27/08/2021 07:49

Yes, Boden quality is lovely.

JazzerMcCreary · 27/08/2021 07:50

Lindex
H&M
M&S
Next
… I tend to find there is a better, brighter selection online.

AllhailTomnook · 27/08/2021 07:52

There is honestly a post similar to this every week on MN. (I've namechanged a lot over the years). I'm at the stage now where I'm a bit over invested because this isn't my experience of my boys clothes at all.

Shop online for a start. There's loads of choice.
Next online have loads of multipacks in bright colours.
Morrisons are good too.
There is also this company called Amazon. You might have heard of them? GrinThey sell kids clothes too.

SunnySomer · 27/08/2021 07:55

Zara and H&M as long as you’re happy with colour rather than purely primary colours. Both have good basics ranges

NameChange30 · 27/08/2021 07:58

YY to Boden, I tend to buy when there's 20% discount or in the sales. I find Boden sizing is a bit small so size up if in between sizes.

Also beware of Next sizing, age 4 v age 4-5 v age 5, they are all slightly different.

BaringasMare · 27/08/2021 07:59

Toby Tiger is great and not too expensive, and currently have a big sale on.

I got some lovely bright things in Asda recently - lovely cotton, really nice colours.

ActonSquirrel · 27/08/2021 08:09

I always get a bit perplexed by these posts too. I keep seeing ones complaining that they can't find boy baby clothes with another than dinosaurs or girls clothes with anything other than unicorns and I have to wonder where they are looking as I see everything from pastels to bright colours, safari animals, fruit and veg patterns, etc most places I look.

Boots do nice bright clothes. Or polarn o pyret are expensive but have a good sale online.

BergamotMouse · 27/08/2021 08:13

Loads of indie clothing shops are struggling at the moment and have huge sales on their scandi clothes. Looks for Maxomorra etc. Nice and bright.

ActonSquirrel · 27/08/2021 08:21

Also Kite

www.kite-clothing.co.uk/collections/boys-0-13-years

They have a sale and currently a code for an extra 10% off sale clothes

BogRollBOGOF · 27/08/2021 11:51

The outdoors brands tend to have more bright, cheerful and individual designs. I get a lot from Mountain Warehouse and Go Outdoors.

OhWhyNot · 27/08/2021 12:24

H&M

Ds had a number of those stripy tops

Sainsbury’s and Asda was great until around 7ish then nearly all the colours became dull

Cornishwench · 27/08/2021 12:43

Definitely maxomorra
Duns
Villervalla
Kite
Toby tiger
Raspberry republic
Alba
Look for online shops such as Strawberry Meerkat
