Breast lumps/nodules - Handhold possibly needed

I had a mammogram in March. We aren't in the UK, I'm 40 but it's covered by my healthcare, get one every year, along with other wellness checks. This was my first one. For one reason and another I only collected the results about a month ago. The bloke told me it was all good so I didn't take it straight to the doctor. I took it today when I went for a blood test (B12 levels).

She said there is a nodule or mass behind the ariola that they can't see properly as the tissue is so dense so they want to do an ultrasound. I'm booked in for Monday.

I had full bloods done a few months ago, as part of the wellness checks, so I'm assuming if I had cancer, that would have shown in the bloods?

My maternal aunt had breast cancer roughly 10 years ago, and I'm guessing she was in her 40's then (estranged).

My doctor has said not to worry, it's probably a cyst or something, but still.

And apparently if you ask them if everything is ok when they give you the results, they aren't supposed to say anything and they don't ring you if there's anything off, its your responsibility to collect the results promptly and see your doctor.

Now I think sometimes I have thought I could feel something but thought nothing of it as if there was anything there, the mammogram dept would have rung me to get the results, but obviously not. I can't have a proper feel around because I'm at work and won't be home until 6.30 uk time.

It's going to be a tense few days!

Talk to me about lumps that turned out to be nothing!

I think the info I was given said only 10% of breast lumps turn out to be cancer.

That's a fantastic statistic!
