I have taken to reading a lot of library books on my phone. However the screen is small!
My iPad is v old and heavy. So am considering an e reader.
Any preferences from MN users?
I don’t want one you have to sync with a computer to download books. Not bothered about it doing anything else. Would like a decent battery life.
Utterly confused by google reviews as there doesn’t seem to be much difference between £70 and £300 models. Plus I would love to have some idea/knowledge before I wander into a high street shop!

Thanks In advance.

I’ve got a kobo and it has paid for itself in the library books I’ve borrowed.

That would drive me batshit. How can someone be so incompetent?

@CaptSkippy It’s a thing. Not wanting to lose face etc. His father was very similar, in that advice from a man was to acted on and not questioned, even when it was evident to everyone, not only was the advice batshit, but fraudulent. Woe betide the female who pointed it out. His sisters are much worse.
Some people tend to back themselves into a corner and refuse to admit they don’t know everything. We all have our own areas of expertise, dh skills do not lie in computer software. Tbf we are of the age where computer skills were learnt at home frantically reading pc weekly or learning as you needed for work. We don’t have computers when we went to school, not even electric typewriters.

@Bargebill19 That makes sense. I grew up with them myself, although their use was not so wide-spread as it is today.
