I am notoriously clumsy, work is a minefield of beds, chairs, walking frames and hoists. Suffice to say, I am often covered in bruises.

The worst one was nearly rupturing my achilles tendon whilst stood on a sofa fiddling with something up high. It went one way, and I went the other. I ended up lying on the floor clutching my foot, and the patients helped me up!Blush

I fell on a wet floor on a busy Saturday and ended up needing stitches.

I once accidentally stapled my thumb with an industrial sized stapler. It hurt terribly and I felt like an idiot.

I was once washing windows outside, it was a summer job and I was wearing hipsters and a crop top. I stood up and didn’t notice a low lying branch. I thought it had scraped my lower back. It hurt so bad I thought I was going to be sick so sat for a little while until it eased a bit.
I got back to the staff area and was greeted with shocked gasps and my boss running out the room.
I had indeed scraped myself on branch. A bit of it had snapped off in my back and was still there for all to see.
My boss was running to dial 999 on her phone.
I kept turning in circles trying to see it and people were torn between panicking and trying not to laugh.
I had to have emergency surgery to remove it once I got to A&E and I’ve never lived it down. If I’d moved side to side or leaned backwards I probably would have done some serious damage.
