Neck, back, hops.
I bought dunlopillows, no good
What about those specialist neck cushion, has anyone used them?
I have a knee pillow which is supposed to be good for hip and back pain, but I don’t stay in the same position all night

When was the last time you bought a new mattress? It’s probably before to see a physio rather than buying pillows.

What sort of pain? I have arthritis and migraines. I bought a full length v pillow and it has made an extraordinary difference to how well I sleep.

It’s mainly my neck at the moment, stiff and dull headaches. Can’t seem to get comfortable or in the right position.
I have a back problem which has been checked out, hips are more of a problem recently. Strangely, since I’ve lost weight-2 stone.
Mattress is only a couple of years old. A good one. It’s hard, it really helped with back pain I had.
I sleep on my side

I came on to recommend dunlopillo.

I found that sleeping on just the dunlopillo I still had sore neck/shoulders. So I put a thinner cheap pillow under it and it’s sorted me out completely now. You could try that OP.

Tempura orthopedic pillow. Took my neck pain away. Go for the medium one not the large as I found it a bit too tall (I am 5.8)

M&S firm pillows are unbelievable.

£20 a pop so not the cheapest but they’re washable and honestly so supportive. I have notorious neck and back issues and never have a problem with them.

Enko · 21/08/2021 13:24

Tempur darn autocorrect

Nospringchickendipper · 21/08/2021 13:26

I’ve bought a pillow of Amazon for neck and shoulders. It was the best £20 I’ve ever spent ,wake up now in the morning pain free and able to move .

Sewaccidentprone · 21/08/2021 13:29

I always use a firm pillow which has walled sides.

I bought this pillow a few weeks ago which suits me.

You just have to puff it up before you use it every time.

Would also suggest checking how you hold your head as this can affect the muscles. Yoga has really helped me with this.

Tempur comfort cloud pillow. It’s ridiculously expensive- I’m not the kind of person to spend that much normally, but had one on holiday and it was revolutionary.

BuntyCarmichael · 21/08/2021 19:32

I use the Original McKenzie Cervical Roll for years, I haven't had neck pain since. I take one on holiday with me. You slip it inside your pillowcase with your pillow. You can get them online.

Tempur original (shaped) pillow.
As PP said, get Medium size.
I also have a Tempur adjustable bed with a Tempur original mattress on it.
The combination of these items makes life bearable for me. I've had discs removed from my neck and replaced with cages 8 years ago after an accident. The accident also left me with mobility problems and chronic pain in my back. 11 years after the accident I am still being treated with denervation in my lower back.
