Taking DD to Drayton Manor on Monday. I'm 10 weeks pregnant. I thought I would be able to go on simple track rides or carousels but according to their website I can't go on anything! I'm going to very bored aren't I?

At 10 weeks they won't even know you're pregnant. Go on what you want within reason.

Surely the reason you aren't supposed to go on anything is for the sake of the foetus, sooo you might want to not go crazy?

They are obviously covering themselves but I’m sure you could use your own common sense, maybe not the spinning barrels but the helicopter ride would probably be ok.

I wouldn't risk it on anything that looks like it'll throw you about too much.

Common sense I think, they’re obviously not going to take responsibility by saying anything is safe for a pregnant women I mean how would you ever get sign off on that?

You’re just going to have to use common sense, you’ll be fine on the carousel/ very slow moving children’s rides which don’t have belts/bars over your stomach.

Fwiw I went on the ‘big slide’ at our local park with my 16 month old several times whilst pregnant with DD Grin all was well!

(It’s not that big)

It’s not advisable to go on any fairground rides. You can use your own personal judgement at 10 weeks; but that’s why they’ve got that advice.

I take it you don't have bad nausea then Grin I wouldn't have been able to go on any rides during the first 14 weeks without losing my lunch!
