FrostyGirl66 · 20/08/2021 23:06

10 yr old is 13.5 her feet are tiny!

irresistibleoverwhelm · 20/08/2021 23:13

My 8 y o is a 12.5, but she has tiny feet! Most of her friends are in size 1 or 2!

DD aged 8 is in a 13

BasicB · 20/08/2021 23:16

DD just turned 4 and is an 8. She’s very, very tiny in stature but thinking back, I think DS was only a 8.5 when he started school.

DS just turned 7 and is a 12.5.

hemhem · 20/08/2021 23:18

My eldest DD was a size 10 at age 4, is almost 7 and a size 13 in some shoes, a size 1 in others. She has really wide feet.

My youngest DD is a size 7 at age 3.5 so is at least 2 sizes smaller relative to age and has much narrower feet too.

Its all very random when they go through growth spurts. Clothes are quite easy to buy ahead but I'd never buy shoes ahead, they are too expensive to risk the wrong season/width could change etc

PumpkinKlNG · 20/08/2021 23:19

Dd is 4 and size 10

My 10 year old daughter wears a size 7 woman’s 😑

Violinist64 · 20/08/2021 23:21

My daughter started school aged 4 1/2 taking infant size 6. She started secondary school at 11 1/2 taking size 13 1/2. She is now in her twenties and takes size 2 and sometimes a 1 or 1 1/2 depending on the style. My sons both took around size 8 when they started school and would increase a size a year. Smaller children with smaller feet tend to grow more slowly than bigger children. Certainly in the case of my daughter we sometimes had to buy new shoes because they had worn out rather than grown out.

cloverleafy · 21/08/2021 06:38

My children are evidently giants. My 6yo's new school shoes are a 2, trainers 1.5. My 9yo wears a 5.

icklekid · 21/08/2021 06:43

5 year old 11
7 year old 13.5

Orangedaisy · 21/08/2021 06:49

Dd 4.5 size 10.5, dd 7.5 13.5.

Bunnycat101 · 21/08/2021 06:54

5yo just has new shoes of 131/2- much bigger feet than her friends and always has done. I remember at nursery loads of kids had the same wellies and hers were the biggest despite there being a whole class of children above her.

Longestsummerever23444 · 21/08/2021 06:59

My DS is 6.5 and is a size 9.5 🤣 he’s not short but very slim. His sister is 2 and is a 3.5

woodfort · 21/08/2021 07:02

@HopelesslyExhausted

My 4 year old has only just gone into a size 8!

Shocked at 6 year olds in size 13.5! I was a 13.5 when I was about 10 ShockGrin

Yeah my 5 year old is just going into size 8s…!

I’m obviously aware he’s smaller than average but Shock at these sizes

mayblossominapril · 21/08/2021 07:11

My 4 year old is a size 7. Not sure if I’ll have to buy new shoes yet because they are wearing out rather than he has grown out of them!
My one year old is in size 3. Both are small children.

Pissinthepottyplease · 21/08/2021 07:11

5 yr and 3 months (had to calculate it) is in size 12 now.

Going up a shoe size is so expensive now she needs trainers for home and school, school shoes plimsoll, football boots, wellies at home and school, party shoes, sandals or winter boots.

RobinPenguins · 21/08/2021 07:12

DD3 (nearly 4) is an 11, but she’s v tall.

FruityPolos · 21/08/2021 07:37

My 4 year old DD is a size 11 but is tall for age (3'9'' last time I measured). She seemed to be going up a size ever season for a bit which meant I never bought shoes ahead in the sales eg winter boots in January for the next autumn because it was hard to predict what her shoe size would be. Just bought her shoes, wellies and PE trainers for starting school so hoping her feet don't grow again too quickly!

INeedNewShoes · 21/08/2021 07:48

DD (4) is a 7.5 . Our local shoe shop doesn’t cater for small feet. They didn’t have a school shoe in her size! And when I took her for her first shoe-fitting when she was 16m they didn’t have any shoe small enough for her feet.

DD’s feet grow very slowly. She can still wear last summer’s sandals although only just and will have had a year’s wear out of her current pair of boots that she wears for walks etc.

Camrette · 21/08/2021 08:22

5.5 year old is in size 9
2 year old is already in 7 and wearing shoes that still fit 5 year old last summer.

15 year old always had tiny feet and was way smaller than her peers in year 7 and 8, then her feet suddenly grew several sizes at once and she now wears a 7 or 7.5

Bewildered2021 · 21/08/2021 08:47

My 5 year old is a 10.5

FrancesFlute · 21/08/2021 08:56

DS is 3.5 and either a 9.5 or 10! His foot growth definitely slowed down in the past year!

TheGriffle · 21/08/2021 09:05

My 4yo is in size 10/11 depending on the shoe. My 8 year old is in adult size 3 but she’s always been big footed, had to cut the toes off her baby grows as they fitted everywhere but her feet!

Tablow · 21/08/2021 09:07

Summer born 6yo is a size 12 and a half

TheFabledSnake · 21/08/2021 09:12

My daughter is nearly 6 and she's 11.5
