Has anyone got any suggestions in central London at all? Thank you.

Central London is a big place. Any area in particular? Do you mean an English breakfast type thing or a light lunch? What kind of budget?

Duck & Waffle or Aqua Shard are good for brunch with a view. The Wolsey for a more traditional, upmarket vibe or Sketch for quirky luxury.

If you want something less expensive, The Breakfast Club is an obvious choice Grin or Dishoom for bacon naans. Daisy & May, on a canal barge in Paddington Basin is a pretty, good value location.

Thank you. Will definitely look at those suggestions. Our hotel is near Paddington Station. I don’t suppose we have a budget. Just some decent food with a good glass of wine or champers and not a chain restaurant.

If you want more of a lunch, these are some more low key, independent local gems just a few minutes from your hotel:

Argentinian restaurant in Connaught Village casamalevo.com/
Innovative Japanese fusion www.kurobuta-london.com/home/menus/
Amazing Basque place www.lurra.co.uk/
Seafood on a barge in Paddington Basin londonshellco.com/
Breakfast or afternoon tea or cocktails...www.thezettertownhouse.com/marylebone/bar

Or you could walk along the canal to Little Venice. Cafe Laville is a picturesque spot on a bridge above the canal but it's more about the view than the food cafelaville.co.uk/

A bit further afield, The Churchill has a cosy heated terrace www.thechurchillbar.co.uk/
And there is always Sunday dim sum at Royal China on Baker Street, it's a bit of an institution.
The restaurant in the (glass roofed) courtyard at the Wallace Collection is a beautiful if you fancy a bit of art with your lunch www.wallacecollection.org/visit/food-and-drink/
But then you get to Marylebone High Street, which has lots of good places...

I had about 10 other recommendations in the immediate neighbourhood but they have either closed down or are only open on a few days Sad
