All the pictures of the last flights out of Kabul show that the majority of passengers are young men , pretty much the same as those refugees coming over via the people smugglers to England.
Who is looking after the left behind women ???
Utterly heartbreaking .
I completely get that anybody would want to get out if they could , but it’s so male dominated .
I feel like we are sitting watching another impending genocide, but it’s predominantly women who suffer,
Gutted .
Am I being too sensitive , what do you think ?

Looks like the government are going to prioritise women and girls in the refugee scheme just announced.
20,000 which is not a lot out of a country of 38 million.

Op lots of threads on this at the moment.

I'm glad we have prioritised women and children

I don't think women need looking after but, of course in a society that gives prevalence to men it will be extraordinarily difficult for them.

On the news tonight a lady was talking to her sister and a house of women they are too scared to go out.

I think women very much need looking after in a Taliban run country.
There were often hangings at the national football stadium where they hung women and girls from the football posts.

its not just the women and children.....what about the elderly?

what about those hospitalised?
do they have children homes or care homes in Afghanistan as well? what about those people and people who are rural and can't get to airports?

That with any conflict, history shows their is always more to the events than just the public perception, e.g. Various missions , various special forces tasks over the years, different objectives ect. Military history from various countries over various wars and conflicts, shows that what the current public perception is at the time, is not always the complete puzzle of what events are unfolding.
