Fabulous afternoon tea suggestions in London?

We did want to come to London to go to Claridges but it’s full. So is the Dorchester, The Savoy and the Goring.

I’ve booked Browns Hotel and I can book Fortnum and Mason but I wonder if anyone has any suggestions for a special occasion afternoon tea?

Oh yes another vote for The Langham too

Yes, I highly recommend the Langham too. I've been to the Dorchester too but much preferred the Langham.

I went to Fortnums last month and it was great. Honesty one of the best afternoon teas I’ve had. On a par with the science afternoon tea at the Ampersand.

London bus afternoon tea is good.

Swan at the globe is really good and a bit different

The Sanderson.

Aldwych One for their Charlie and the Chocolate Factory afternoon tea.

Pre-covid had a lovely afternoon tea at the Chilworth.

Corinthia is the best London afternoon tea I've had, and I have a bit of an afternoon tea habit

The Shard. You get the great views as well.

My favourite is The Library at County Hall. Ask for a window table for fabulous views of The Thames and Big Ben/Houses of Parliament.

I love Browns so if you have that booked already I wouldn’t worry!

Harrods the Tiffany blue box cafe was really lovely. They kept bringing more and more sandwiches and replenishing (non alcoholic) drinks. The cakes were so pretty too.

Browns is much better than Fortnum for afternoon tea! I’d stick with the booking you have!

Absolutely fantastic high tea at Petersham Nurseries as well, but that’s in Richmond so quite far out. Would recommend to everyone though!

Oblix at the Shard. You can pay extra for a window seat!

We're going to F&M next week, I bought the experience for DH nearly two years ago!

It will be our second time. Can't fault it

Sketch. I did like fortnum too. Loved Ham yard hotel.

I love the booking office at st Pancras station.

I like Fortnums and I really rate the savoury tea they offer.
