Anyone used Co-Op to recycle their soft plastic?

I saw this advertised on TV and looked into it further online-they seem to take virtually everything I would usually throw away in my rubbish bin! Has anyone used this yet? I'm a bit sceptical my local shop might turn me away with what just looks like a big bag of rubbish.

I think it's a brilliant scheme and have already deposited two full carrier bags worth of soft plastic and I've only been collecting for just over a week. As others have said, it really brings it home just how much plastic waste is sent to landfill.

The in-store collection bins are rather small (I more or less filled it up with my recycling today) and I'm hoping that the scheme is a success, leading to larger bins, possibly placed outside the store, rather than indoors, so that recycling can be dropped off at any time and not just when the shop is open.

I'm going to make a point of dropping my recycling off there frequently to hopefully make the store realise that people do use it and to continue with the scheme.

Well done Co-op.

Yes I don't really understand why councils don't offer this. Maybe it will come. One thing I'm really pleased to be able to recycle is the clear plastic packaging on clothing bought online, I always think its a contradiction when so many companies now use cardboard or paper outer bags then inside there's still plastic.
