What would you do if you thought you'd had a seizure?

I woke up last night at about 1.30, feeling really confused and disorientated, and pouring with sweat. I think I was still half asleep and I could see words sort of hovering in the air in front of my eyes. I then had what felt like a seizure, where my arms and upper body went rigid and then started to shake. The whole thing only lasted for about two seconds and then I felt properly conscious but really exhausted. I didn't go back to sleep at that point because I was a bit scared, tbh, but once I started feeling more normal I did drift off and there was no further incident.

I'm not sure what I should do now - I have a headache this morning and feel a bit spaced out, but nothing I can really put my finger on. I've tried calling both 111 and my GP but both are so busy that I can't get through to speak to anyone.

I don't know what happened, I don't have epilepsy or diabetes and I'm not on any medication. As I was half asleep I can't be 100% sure it even happened and it wasn't just a waking dream. I don't think it was though. What would you do??

Can you do e consult through your surgery?

I'd definitely be speaking to someone. It's better it's nothing you got checked out than something you didn't.

Definitely need to speak to your GP.

I've had this exact thing. It was taken very seriously by the GP and neurologist. They said it could be nocturnal epilepsy. I hadn't lost control of my bladder or bitten my tongue, so I wasn't too worried.
I had several nights in hospital with electrodes stuck on my head. It turned out to be non epileptic seizures. I take two medications and it's only happened once since.
Book an appointment.

Thanks @Iwantcauliflowercheese that's reassuring. It's never happened to me before and the thought of needing brain scans was rather frightening. I will keep trying to get through to the GP.
