PAX sliding wardrobe IKEA help

Can you get a narrower depth sliding pax? I have a tight space and had a standard sliding pax 66 depth . I don't have as much depth due to so many windows in this property. I can't use the build your own pax tools online on my phone and don't have a computer .. anyone know. I can see pax do a 35cm frame .. does anyone know and how do you fit hanging inside if it's shallow?

Yes you can do the shallow pax and sliding doors.

Be aware that the hanger for the clothes is a frame.

The clothes are hung front to back, so you can't see them side by side from the front of the wardrobe.

Also, you can't put the hanger frame in at the top of the wardrobe due to the sliding door mechanism. The clothes hanger is therefore about 15-20 cm from the top of the wardrobe

@Ringsender2 oh so harder to see the clothes if front facing you, I guess not much room ?

I just worry that traditional opening doors will be battered by the kids, I need to do 2 kids rooms and ours, all same window issues which affect depth available.

I think for a 35 cm deep wardrobe, I'd really consider shelves for the clothes unless you really need a lot of hanging space.

Pull out rails sound like quite a faff.

The other option is getting fitted wardrobes.

You can then maximise the depth (and width, height), rather than just using IKEA's size options. Costs more ££ but might be worth exploring.

What's the depth out of interest?

@rinsender max depth 45cm.. I haven't got loads to spend as news to do 3 rooms. No wonder the previous owners never put in wardrobes. They had lots of drawers.
