Is it too annoying to call Gp again ? Should I wait?

I have been having problems with feeling lightheaded and weak for a while which I put down to maybe anxiety (I assumed I imagined the whole thing!).

I ended up in hospital in February with super-ventricular tachycardia and I take medication for that (I’ve been on it years it’s not a new thing). They also said I had low potassium - so I had a drip for that.

They did a tilt table test etc which was also fine.

In april I still wasn’t feeling well so I went to see my gp who did a crap tonne of blood tests which showed nothing the doctor put it down to anxiety.

I am still having days when I feel really off I nearly fainted in a shopping centre last week which I haven’t done before!.

When this Happens my heart is not fast and the next day I might feel fine.

I am sick of it tbh and it’s making life a little less enjoyable.

Would it be annoying to email the gp that I still feel off and is there anything else they can do?

I don’t want to be a total pain about it if it’s anxiety but I’m just getting annoyed at myself !

Of course contact the GP. I thought you were going to say you contacted them a couple of days back not 4 months back

Definitely contact them

@Makinganewthinghappen bear in mind, you are paying their wages.
I wouldn’t hesitate in your situation

Definitely contact them. Your health issues have not been resolved and you are still suffering. I used to be like you and worry about being a nuisance but now I don’t give a crap if I have to see my gp every week. They don’t do it voluntarily they get paid a handsome salary and they have chosen a career that helps people manage their health. Badger them until you feel better.

Thanks everyone Smile
They text and said a physicians associate is calling me on Friday . I’m not totally sure what a physicians associate is but perhaps they will have some ideas!

If it's anxiety, they should be offering you treatment for anxiety - like CBT.
Only after, they've excluded everything else. Maybe they feel they already have, maybe they'll do further tests, just to be sure.

Either way, you are doing the right thing to seek further resolution.

I'm not totally sure what a physician's associate is, even tho I've seen one. A sort of para-doctor, I think. Ime, they weren't all that good at diagnosis, but had way waay more time per appointment than a Dr, so were great at listening to and noting down the whole picture- none of this, you've mentioned one thing, now Go! that GPs do these days.
