8 year old son present ideas

He loves Pokemon Football and cars
He has a lot of stuff he doesn't use but uses his football goals daily as he does with pokemon cards and hot wheels (doesn't bother with the garage so going to pass onto friends son)
Any novel ideas?
Skateboard is an option.

I've seen a spinner shark skateboard.
He doesn't have switch but considering getting it as shared gift with sibling.
He has some Mario Lego so I thought an expansion kit for that? Bowsers Castle?

While you can - try to get out for days out and attractions. Have a party. Before vaccine passports or another lockdown comes. Because all the toys and videogames in the world will get dull under house arrest.

That's an excellent point cats
I think I'm struggling as trying to be more minimal and hate waste. Going to sell some items too.

I've found 7-10 quite a difficult age to buy for, as they are growing out of toys but not quite ready for the stuff that teens are into.

Some ideas
New bike?
Nintendo Switch/PlayStation (for Pokémon games)
An experience - visit to theme park, go ape etc
football kit

MrsPumpkinSeed · 14/08/2021 11:33

Thanks purple
I've put aside a football top

He's very keen on a switch. It's just we have two dc of a similar age and I can't get two (will be disaster to get one to share)

I really don't understand this attitude. They need to learn this. Limited time each, any squabbling or arguing and it gets turned off for a week.

Pokemon encyclopaedia, soft archery set, days out, Lego...

Honeyandcondensedmilkplease · 14/08/2021 11:56

New football boots? Lego? Craft stuff? Books are always a good shout. There are some pokemon how to draw books which might be a nice gift along with some new pencils since he is into pokemon.

MrsPumpkinSeed · 14/08/2021 12:07

He would love the pokemon drawing books and new boots is a good call

They only get a limited amount of screen time at weekends and at the same time so sharing one I think wouldn't work as the younger child would rather play on his own device as he's into more Teddy bear type stuff (we will get ds one next year when he's 9 and he knows this)

It was my 8 year old sons birthday yesterday. I got him hoops that attach to his football goal outside for target practice and another little target practice basket thing, a football kit and Astro turf trainers that he can wear for training and everyday, a ball. He's football crazy and has been in the garden ever since

MrsPumpkinSeed · 14/08/2021 12:32

Ah Happy Birthday to your son. They were lovely presents

A basketball hoop could be a good call too
