Shoulder pain child?

Anyone awake to reassure me? Hiya, lying in bed with my 10 year old daughter who's been crying off and on with shoulder pain since this afternoon. She hasn't injured herself, it's not stiff. It has abated a few times - she went to football practice, there was a respite just before bedtime, but now it's coming in waves and she's sobbing with it. She said it's more painful than when she broke her wrist...
She had pain relief earlier in the evening but I'm reluctant to give her more as all we have now has caffeine in it.
I've scared myself on Google (as you do) She's stopped crying again for now, but I can tell she's getting uncomfortable again because she's starting to writhe around.

Might it be growing pains, I used to rub Vicks over the sore areas on my children. Seemed to help a bit iirc.

Ring 111

She says it's going up her neck now. Not sure it's growing pains, she says it's worse on breathing out.

Oh blimey, I would ring to get her checked over.

Gallstones can present with shoulder pain - children can get them too. Hope she's okay this morning.

How is she doing this morning?

Hi, thanks everyone, I'm back on my pc and using my normal account.

She's so much better today, I called NHS 24 during the night and they were very reassuring. Continued with pain relief. I think it's maybe been wind or a trapped nerve, she was rolling around in absolute agony with it. We finally fell asleep about 4am.

Why does everything seem so much more frightening during the night?
