... and then there's this ConfusedShock

£685k. 4 bed, 2 bath.

Doesn't clarify in the ad whether the room below counts as both.

There are en-suite bathrooms....

This reminds me of one of those Sarah Beeny programmes from way back when they put a toilet in the utility room. As in, next to the washing machine, not in a separate room. Grin

NameChangeHelpWithBullies · 08/08/2021 21:39

Crikey. Not going to keep the mystery alive, is it?

safariboot · 08/08/2021 21:40

For that prison feeling.

HarrisMcCoo · 08/08/2021 21:41

Love it. Sharing is caring 😀

dudsville · 08/08/2021 21:42

RJnomore1 · 08/08/2021 21:43

Is there a sink? I can’t see a sink on my phone...🤢

dudsville · 08/08/2021 21:43

(Here's the forgotten 'a')

FlyingRabbitsAtNoon · 08/08/2021 21:44

Designed for pregnant women. Ideal!

ImInStealthMode · 08/08/2021 21:46

I can't see a sink @RJnomore1. Well not in that bedroom anyway. One of the other bedrooms has one.

Assume there's a shower in the 3rd and a bidet in the 4th??

😂😂😂

When we went to Sydney, loads of b&bs advertised having ensuites. Later in the ad they'd mention you have to share a toilet. I'd always thought the toilet was an integral part of an ensuite but it appears I was too demanding. Not sure having the toilet in the bedroom is much better really.

I have exactly that, don’t think it’s that odd is it? There’s even a name for it, a lootility. A toilet in a bedroom however is very odd………
Galassia · 08/08/2021 21:57

Even with a long term illness/bed ridden it’s not very hygienic!

A portable screen on wheels around it at the very least!

My Db has one of those. It is great, especially when toilet training children. Really big room with heated flooring and washing machine, dog shower/wetroom and dryer. I would love one.
NinaBallerinaShoes · 08/08/2021 23:22

That's grim. Not quite the boutique hotel vibe.

I have one too and it's very handy. No one has ever mentioned it as being odd in 20 years and I have friends who are brutally honest! We've also had estate agents value the house and not a murmur!

Out of interest why do you find it odd @PuppyMonkey

@ImInStealthMode a loo in the bedroom is definitely weird 🥴

TheHomeEdit · 09/08/2021 00:02

We viewed a house with a loo in the corner of the bedroom once - although it did have a wicker screen round it. The poor estate agent was clearly embarrassed by the whole thing - and his viewings were made doubly difficult because the elderly couple were always in and saying how lucky the house was. There were boxes everywhere so the rooms looked even smaller than they were. He couldn’t say look this house is a great location and plot and the house could be great if extended/ altered a lot, because they followed round pointing out odd features. Took ages to sell and was eventually knocked down and something new built.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 09/08/2021 01:39

now I understand what a bed sit is

PuppyMonkey · 09/08/2021 08:15

Okay sorry it must be just me that thinks utility room loo is odd.Confused

Maybe it’s because our utility room has no door, it leads straight off from our kitchen so I’m thinking how weird it would be?

ImInStealthMode · 09/08/2021 10:04

I've seen a couple of utility room loos before but I think in both instances it's been a downstairs loo first, with washing machine etc added because there's the space, rather than a laundry room with a random toilet added.

PuppyMonkey · 09/08/2021 10:29

Yes, the one on Sarah Beeny programme was definitely primarily a (large) utility room, with a back door leading out into the garden and a kitchen sink type arrangement. It wasn't a downstairs loo which handily had enough space to house other stuff too.

JaninaDuszejko · 09/08/2021 10:38

Okay sorry it must be just me that thinks utility room loo is odd.

I think it's odd but I know it's popular. Clean clothes and poo aerosols don't seem like natural roommates to me and I doubt anyone with plenty of space would combine the two.
