Bone conduction headphones

I took the plunge and bought some and at home, they were fantastic.

Took them to work however, and background noise is way to loud and I can’t hear the music properly.

I’m gutted because I was hoping they would work nicely but it was a disappointment.

I’m deaf (wearing a hearing aid) which is why I went for these as opposed to earbuds and I heard such good reviews for them.

I have gone cheaper to see how I got on. I got these ones. Would aftershoks be better at drowning out background noise/being louder?

I currently wear headphones with a wire and hook one of the buds behind my hearing aid so it’s near the microphone.

The point of bone conduction headphones is that you CAN hear background noise. That's why they're so popular with runners/cyclists etc who need to be aware of their surroundings. I have trekz titanium for running and they are fab because I can hear traffic noise/people approaching etc.

Unfortunately if you want something that cancels other noise out, you may be barking up the wrong tree.

Sorry to be negative but hopefully helps you avoid an expensive mistake!

I sort of knew that but I was hoping they would still be a bit louder than the background noise so I could hear the music. But apparently not Sad

So that’s £35 gone. Probably gonna try and sell them for £20.

Bother

There are a few running kit selling groups on Facebook-maybe try those as you'll likely find someone who'll buy them.
