I've somehow managed to get 3 inital interviews for tomorrow. My mind always goes blank when asked do you have any questions. So does anyone have any good questions I can ask?

I always ask something along the lines of: "What would you expect me to achieve during the first year in the role/how would you see the role progressing?" Or something about the direction and future plans of the company.

That's good. I always find that if I research them then I feel like I know enough about them and they always tell you. I need to wfh on a Wed so I'll need to bring that up

Something specific about the role, depending on context whether there is scope for progression. Or a question about the company and where it is heading. Needs to be tailored but those sort of questions have worked for me!

Also how are they expecting to measure your achievements? How do they believe they empower the person in the role to be successful?

I always ask something along the lines of development and courses/training id be expected to do

What do you enjoy about working here-

Gives a good indication of whether it's a nice place to work, and facial expressions give a lot a way!

Sprig1 · 04/08/2021 15:38

Why the post became vacant, and training/progression opportunities.

Mufflette · 04/08/2021 15:41

I like 'what do you like about working here?' too. And also 'what do you think the biggest challenge will be for someone taking on this role?'.

All excellent. I shall make a list. The more questions people have the better as I don't want to ask the same ones in all 3 interviews
