We've realised we've both got the day off work on Thursday so I've suggested to him he plans a family day out as I normally do it.
Two adults, two 12 year olds, one in a wheelchair, south of UK near London.
Anyone want to think what it will be.
If its going for another funking walk I will murder him.

There is a new place opened in Milton Keynes called www.thepixelbunker.com/ a pay once retro game arcade.
There is also this racewarsuk.co.uk/
You would need to check they are accessible but they probably are as both quite new.
Maybe something like this would work....they have different types of bikes
adventurecyclehire.com/ it's at Willen Lake. There is also a big wheel at the lake and pedalos if your son can get in them.

If you want any more MK suggestions please ask.

Racewars looks amazing, thank you for your suggestions. I'll take a look at the others

@TillyTopper

Sorry but you seem to be setting up to fail here. It sounds like you almost want it to not be a success so you can gloat. I'm sorry if it's not that way, but it seems it from your post.
Yeah! Cos she wants a single opportunity to NOT have to do all the planning, to let the other adult in the family do some thinking.

And yet look! So many helpful suggestions for OP to give to her DH.

FFS!

OP, my money is on blank look, a bottom lip tremble and "I tried" - the latter truly enrages me - don't try just fucking do! just like I always have done.

Good luck Grin

@Intherightplace

I wonder why more men don't plan family days out.....Grin
Because it would end up being a day at the allotment.

Nah, it's not that bad. OH used to be the one who'd decide first thing Saturday morning lets all go to the zoo/seaside/park etc. Didn't really plan just decided that we' should go. (The girls actually liked helping on the allotment)

BigFatLiar · 03/08/2021 09:04

Maybe expensive but what about a trip on the train to another town/city?
Family railcard.

Mydogisagentleman · 03/08/2021 09:17

Norwich has a dinosaur trail and dippy at the cathedral

Mumdiva99 · 03/08/2021 10:24

Wrest Park is lovely....but not massive. I like it but wouldn't drive there specifically to entertain teenagers. The Halloween live ghost story event was great. The Christmas trail disappointing as it was a generic EH trail and not specific to the place.

SupermanWithTheGreyHair · 03/08/2021 10:28

I’d discuss and decide together as I wouldn’t risk having a crap day off. but then leave him to do the booking and organising.

BigFatLiar · 03/08/2021 13:02

Do 12 year olds want to go somewhere or would they rather hang out with their friends?

Soubriquet · 03/08/2021 13:04

What about bewilderedwood. I haven’t been but apparently it’s wheelchair friendly

spinningspaniels · 03/08/2021 13:10

You're brave OP.
