FTM here due in December. I’m torn between a few prams&their attached travel systems. Anyone any experience of the Cosatto Wow2, Nuna Mixx, M&P Ocarro or Uppababy Vista V2?! I’m def swayed by the Cosatto Wow 2’s pretty colours but don’t know anyone else who has one and they don’t seem that popular where I live! Ocarro and Vista V2 on other hand- super popular but worth the money? Anyway I’m totally torn and would love your opinions!!!

I had a Wow (not wow2) and it was great!

We had an Ocarro and I LOVED it. Nice and stable over bad terrain, folded down flat with buggy seat attached, loads of room for shopping in basket and as I didn't drive when we first had DD that thing really did some miles!

I have an Ocarro, used it for my first 3.5 years ago and will use it again for this baby in 4ish weeks! It's a lovely Pram. The only thing I would say is it's pretty big. We have an estate car but still feel like it takes up a lot of space.

I have seen not great things about how the cosatto car seats perform in safety comparisons. I agree the prams have lovely colours though!

We have decided to go down the route of the best ERF car seat we can afford, and a travel system either basic new or second hand ‘fancy’ brand but just the pushchair/carrycot bit.

They won’t match but I’d rather pour my limited resources into a really safe car seat and know it will last till around 4 so no looming large expenditure!

Thank you that’s really helpful! Where did you see the bad reviews? I’ve only seen good things about the RAC Port I size car seat that comes with it but I’m sure there are bad reviews I’ve just not found yet!

We have the Nuna Demi Grow (have twins so needed a double system!) I like that it can be mixed and matched, that the lower seat can still see out, that you can use it as a single if you choose to. Now we tend to just use the double buggy and not the travel system I miss the flexibility

I love the Ocarro but size is probably my only concern. Think I’ll see if I can find a shop that lets you try it out in your boot before you buy! If it doesn’t fit I suppose that helps me rule one out!

@Whoopwhoopfor2021 I think it was various threads on here and also many comments on the cosatto Facebook ads that were following me around for a bit.

My understanding is that there are lots of excellent, safe car seats out there, and lots of merely adequate ones that get bundled into travel system sets to bring them in at a certain price point. You have to be looking at the really expensive travel systems before there is much crossover between the two!

(I’ll qualify this by saying I’m no expert, doing this all for the first time same as you!)

I just looked up the Facebook page and I see what you mean!! The car seats don’t look great from number of complaints nor does the customer service!!

Out of your list I would pick the ocarro. It was one of my favourites when I was picking. Lots of people raved about the uppababy but I had a little test and really couldn't get too excited.
It's true, Cosatto only test to the minimum. Join car seat advice UK on FB x

You’d really be best choosing the best car seat for your car/needs/ safety rating and choosing a pram/pushchair separately. Don’t just go with whatever car seat comes free with the pram which is what a “travel system” essentially is.

It’s not really recommended to use the car seat for too long unless actually in the car, but I do realise that it is a handy option to have.

Most of the big brand pram makers you’ve mentioned (possible with the exception of cosatto) will make car seat adaptors for the big brand infant carriers, you just may have to purchase separately if you feel you defiantly want the car seat on the pram frame.

Essentially choose your car seat based on safety performance alone and have a bit more fun choosing the pram based on size/ function/ design ect.
