Vitamin B12 Injections

Has anyone had one? Did it make any difference? I am tempted to try one - my local salon does them for £35. I am hopeful it will boost my energy levels and maybe even help with my awful PMT mood swings. But aware they are probably just a gimmick....

Terrible idea. Go to your go and ask for a blood test to see if you are deficient first.

Dd2 is aneamic. In addition to taking iron tablets and vit D she is also on a course of B12 .

A course of B12 means first a loading dose and 5 more injections with 2 weeks of the first dose. Followed up with a top up injection every 3 months.

If you’re deficient in B12 and don’t absorb it from your diet then it makes a massive difference. If you need it you get it done regularly by the nurse at your GP surgery. For free. Like I do.

It’s medication so you’d be off your rocker to get it done by a beauty salon.

If you’re lacking in energy or unwell you need to see your GP and request some tests.

See your gp. If you are deficient you will need 6 jabs in 2 weeks then either every 8 or 12 weeks.

When I had them under the GP I had the most horrific acne ever on my chin and cheeks and needed a beauty therapist more than ever! I wouldn’t do it without GP says so and even now I’ll take tablets over injections.

I do get the mother of spots after my jab. Just the one and its big fat and ugly. I thought there was a link.
