Birthday present for a 3 year old girl?

I'm completely stumped! Which is bonkers as I have a son the same age. The problem is the mum buys wonderful, thoughtful presents and I'm worried they will already have everything I can think of. I guess I can keep a receipt and swap if needs be? Please help. I've just been overthinking this and got in a tizzy.

Budget about £12.

What sort of stuff does she like?

MaggieFS · 28/07/2021 14:12

I don't know! It's a nursery friend.

Ok so you need to go generic!

I would go books and/or a craft set.

Playdoh.
Barbie
Crafts like paint own garden figure or money box.

Or ask the Mum what she's into.

Or maybe an Orchard toys game.

Dressing up costumes always go down well 👍

Get something your DS would like.

These are brilliant fun if you can stretch to a few pounds more.

Usbourne sticker book was my go to around that age. Or there's a Melissa and Doug wooden bead set for £12 which is a nice present.

A puzzle? DD loved those floor puzzles with the bigger parts when she was 3.

Or pens/colouring books?

Or those dress up sticker books, I think Melissa and Doug do a good one

MaggieFS · 28/07/2021 22:27

Thank you! Craft set duly ordered. Don't know why I made such a meal of it.

It can be a minefield op.

I think the key is, unless you know the child/family well, generic and something that can be used up (like craft stuff) so it doesn't clog up their house.
