Please no snarky comments.

Since dh passed few weeks ago conveniently a few things have broken and need fixing.

Now I've always been useless at stuff, tried using a drill once many years ago, it was a disaster and dh was a dab hand at fixing stuff.

Now he's no longer with me, dd has decided pull her curtains off the track (she's actually snapped the track) he fixed it once. Now I've decided to just fix a pole there and get nice curtains for her.
But i need a drill and learn to use it.
And to build flat packs

I'm crap at that. I'm crap at everything actually. It's like learning to walk again, and I'm not doing very well. He helped me so much with the.mental load of my life and now I feel so useless again.

Please help and please for the love of all things nice don't kick me. I've had enough kicking the past 4 months

It's fab that there's wood there already! You just need to screw into it! Mark the holes of the brackets for the pole onto the wood. Start the holes off with a bradawl or just the tip of the screw and some elbow grease. Then, out the brackets there with the screws through the holes and screw them in nice and tight! Voila.

You are doing brilliantly to just be putting one foot in front of the other & getting you & DD through each day!

Not my mention my other 3 dc. But dd1 is 18, dd2 is 14, dd3 is 11. My ds is 21

I've kept myself very busy, I promised dh I wouldn't fall apart, I'm grieving and I miss him so much all the time and the pain and the waves it comes in takes my breath away.

I think I started to grieve weeks before dh died because I knew deep down he wasn't going to survive but dh thought he would.

I'm determined to get everything in place, paper work bills, learning stuff before I do jave a serious wobble and I think it's.coming.

i'd recommend a Bosch hammer drill or combi

you can get a set of mixed drill bits for a tenner too....bargain!!
