Robo vacuum?

Has anybody got one of these? I’m really really tempted, the idea of having one swooping around downstairs while I’m upstairs is really tempting.

If you do have one do you recommend? What brands are the best?

I have an eufy G30 that does the mapping thing so works in stripes as well as adjusting the suction to the flooring type.
It makes it’s way around our semi open plan ground floor and fits under the sofa. I have never noticed or heard of the sunlight thing, the biggest peril for us is trailing cables that the kids have not picked up but that’s a kids not listening to me problem not an eufy problem.
It’s been a godsend in a period of ill health.

My Eufy is called Albert and he is absolutely the best! I love him!

My eufy is Robbie the robot. He has googly eyes so he can see. He's fabulous.

We have a Eufy, his name is Dog (so I can tell Alexa, "release the dogs of war") and he's ace.

We have dogs, a log burner and a small dusty cottage so he has his work cut out. Never tried him with carpet but he does a reasonable job on DDog2's rug in front of the fire. Due to the layout of the cottage there's a few corners he cannot quite get in so I do have to sweep round occasionally before he does his thing.

Roborock S7 is fantastic. It's a brand new model (the S5 Max and S6 are also very good) and gets better reviews that the Roomba but costs much less at around £500.

Fully maps the house so you can tell it to clean specific rooms. Cleans efficiently, following a pattern so the whole floor is cleaned. Leans where you have hard floor and carpets and doesn't mop the carpet areas etc..

It's so fab that I have 2 - an S5 Max for upstairs and the new S7 for downstairs.

I had a Eufy before and it was very stupid by comparison. no mapping just blunders randomly about, doesn't clean everywhere, just wanders about missing things. No mopping feature just hoovers, very small dust box. It's better than nothing but no where near as good as the Roborock.

I ended up getting a lefant T700, it had good reviews and is a Hoover mop combo - it was reduced from £300 to £200 and then there was an Amazon £70 off voucher, so £130 in total!
Bargain!
