Why are people so aggressive these days instead of having a little of empathy?

A woman barged past me nearly knocking me over today whilst shopping in NEXT because police had come. She had reported a mother who left her child in the car for 5 mins whilst she went to get his teachers present. Child didn't want to go with her and in the heat of the moment she made a bad decision. In front of the police the woman was like 'she could have killed her child AND can you believe she's been so neglectful she hasn't even offered the poor kid a drink'. Tones like this really piss me off. Let's hope she gets some 'good' karma her way. There were 2 police cars and one big police van. 7 officers came. 2 taking down details whilst 4 sat in their cars. I hope the Good Samaritan feels like she did a good deed.

Im just feeling a bit upset that poor mother probably feels like the worlds worst mother tonight. What she did wasn't right but sometimes our choices aren't great and being a mum is really really hard. It's just a shame the Good Samaritan spoke to her in such an aggressive way 'Was collecting your order more important than a dead child?'...blah blah blah...

Cars can heat up 20 degrees in 10 minutes. The woman was right.

My child used to whine about having to come into shops. Eventually I said 'right we're going to sit in this car for a couple of minutes and see what happens' it got hot. She never asked again.

She didn't need to get involved after making the phone call. In the current weather though- the parent was utterly irresponsible leaving the child in the car- and clearly it was longer than 5 minutes if that number of emergency services had already arrived. The police are the ones who should be explaining just how irresponsible the mothers actions were- not the person who (rightly) made the call

I had a woman screaming at me and OH the other day in the carpark of a stately home of all places. Swearing and being incredibly rude because I had parked too close to her car. I was happy to move it and apologise if she didn’t like the way I was parked but she was behaving like an absolute nutcase. I asked her to stop swearing but got the retort ‘ I swear’’ as if she thought that made her a special person.

She made the call and that was right. But there wasn't a need to be aggressive. The lady was waiting near her car after she was told the cops were going to come. She waited for them. Poor choice from the mother but the 'reporter' needed to back off a bit. No need for the commentary from her either. Horrible woman.

@CatherineAragon how horrible. Not sure what's happened to being polite and basic manners theses days. Why do people feel the need to yell straight away.
