Got gift cards but can't find them Sad

Little gift bag with mini box of chocs, card from DS and cash with a note saying please treat yourself, you deserve it.

Would that be OK?

We're not allowed to accept money, and have to declare any vouchers.

Teachers I know always seem really happy to get a thank you card, none of them expect gifts. It can mean a lot just to have a note saying how much they have been appreciated.

Eurgh, no it’s really weird. Card and chocolates are fine, that’s all I buy them.

cash is not an appropriate gift for anyone in a public sector job (and IMVHO teachers getting tens of pounds in vouchers from class collections is at least bordering on inappropriate). Most public sector organisations discourage gift giving other than token presents. A card with a personal message is always treasured, and the chocolates to go with are a far more appropriate present.

Are they even allowed to accept it?

Feels like a weird tip. Wouldn't do it.

I think a printed gift voucher is the only way you can do this.

I don't really like cash in cards unless it's for a child. Or a manual service provider who you're tipping.

It feels like a tip and you don't tip professionals I.e. solicitors, doctors, teachers
