I’m not sure whether i’m completely overthinking things.something just feels wrong. I’d be interested in views

I’m getting private therapy for help with social skills. I was diagnosed with Autism through the nhs but there is no support available through nhs in my area.

Therapy is out of office hours, therapist works in nhs as well.
This time the therapist has sent me a document created within the local nhs. Designed for people with other conditions but suitable for me as well. It was emailed so no physical resources being used that should have been used in the nhs.

I can’t jump a waiting list because there isn’t one but it still something feels wrong. Am I being ridiculous?

She’s just giving you the best resource she has. As for holding it in an nhs place by renting rooms out to private doctors/therapist the nhs makes a bit of money

It sounds like you’re overthinking it. NHS produce lots of resources that are freely available and for the benefit of anyone who needs them. It’s also very normal for therapists to do both nhs and private work.

Thanks.
Not even the room as it is in a separate clinic, but online now anyway. The NHS team does have a lot of free resources, it was the only suggestion when I first asked for help with social skills.
