30 degrees for the 3rd or 4th day in a row…it feels like it’s been about 3 years of this heat though.

Thunder here now, just started to rain.
I know it won't cool it down that much.

I'm working in an attic office. It's hot and I'm sweaty, but not too long to go until I can go outside and do some gardening! Tomorrow I am going into work and there is aircon. Bliss.

I hate the heat, and I’m extremely sun intolerant so I hate the sun as well.

If I’m ever fed up with the heat I just remind myself that it will never be as bad as 2015. In the heatwave we had in august 2015, I was 9 months pregnant (due date was 30th august). Being 9 months pregnant in a heatwave was the absolute worst. So if I coped with that it’ll be fine.

My sister was pregnant in the drought summer of 76-my niece was born at the end of July!

Does anyone just sleep in the garden? In my old house, we sometimes slept on the trampoline, with spare bedding/fabric pegged around the sides/top. WiFi worked out there, and it was fun.
I don't have much of a garden, here, though. No grass, just slabs. Very small and overlooked. Would it be reasonable to just lie on a camping mattress, outside the back door all night, then get up and go to work/school? It's just me and DS (11) here.
Would cats/rats/squirrels wee on us? (I left my work shoes outside a few nights ago, and a cat weed in them).

This heat is fine on holiday or days off when you have nothing to do! Working in this heat is horrendous! I’ve never been so glad to have a north facing bedroom so it is cooler in the evenings. Got my fan blasting and a cool damp towel at my feet - makes a huge difference.

Not a fan of any hot weather, I prefer cold

22C here, it's been unbearable 🥵

Stayed indoors all day. There's just no joy sitting outside in this.
