Would you wear this in your 30s

I’m mid thirty’s and struggling with what to wear at the moment. I’m petite with a nice figure but pretty much live in maxi dresses because I feel like I need to hide everything all the time.

I’m going to the office tomorrow for the first time in a long time and have tried some dresses on but I just feel like I can’t get away with anything above the knee with bare legs anymore. Husband says I look good in the dresses but I can’t shake it off - is it just me that feels like this or is it common to start feeling like this at this age?

I’m probably overthinking - I just don’t want to be one of those people that look 19 from the back and then turn round and give someone a fright Grin

I'm not believing that petite OP under 60yo needs to 'hide' yourself under maxi dresses.

For office wear, I often wear leggings (3/4 length) if a dress is quite short, eg above knee. I don't have amazing legs, either. Just shaved.

I wear above the knee skirts and dresses for work all the time, wouldn't even think about it

Sorry why do you have to wear maxi dresses in mid 30s? I only ever wear them on holidays or heatwaves

Just to reiterate again, I’m happy to wear shorter dresses outside of the office - I’m just nervous to do so in the office.

I have been judged really harshly on my looks in the past and have a hang up about it. I don’t want to stand out in any way shape or form as there’s more chance someone will be critical of me than if I stay under the radar. I know this sounds bonkers.

It seems like common consensus is that it’s fine although there are one or two saying they get it so it’s not just me!

Wear whatever you are most conformable in. I probably look quite awful when I go out but I don't care. I buy the clothes I like
Good luck in your new job!
