Meal Plan for Visitors

Can anyone help me make a plan for lunch and dinners for a week while Im hosting a family visit?

I loving having my family over but get a bit stressed about meals and what to eat that's quick and easy so we're not spending all day hanging out in the kitchen. I'll have plenty of help with the tidying etc but I'd like to cook and be great host so trying to get organised. Feeding adults(x4) and a couple of kids (mine).

Got a few meals we're planning to go out for but most of them will be at home due to kids' nap times etc.

Grateful for any suggestions!

Hi, I get stressed too when family visit as much as I love their company. My in laws are very traditional in their food tastes too so even more restricted when they stay. I overthink it all and most of the time people are happy with a roll for lunch and remember shops are always open to nip out for extra bits for lunch or dinner! Anyway here are ideas for lunches and dinner that I’ve done in the past for family:
Lunches other than rolls/sandwiches: jacket potatoes, quiche with salad, pork pies/cheeses etc so ploughmans type lunch or cheese and crackers,Cornish pasties (frozen gingster ones are very good), pizza, cheese toasties, sausage/bacon sandwiches, noodles.

Dinners: roasts (I use the bagged chickens as they are so easy and less messy), lasagne/spag bol, fajitas, pies (chicken/steak eg), sausage and mash, shepherds pie. The precooked sous vide type ribs are really easy and tasty, burgers, steak and chips.

You could have takeaway or eat out one of the nights too to take the pressure off a bit. If I think of anything else that’s been popular I’ll add in on.

Supper ideas
Marinated chicken kebabs (maybe a spicy one and a garlic and herb one)
Cook a piece of gammon, serve with a pineapple and sweetcorn salsa, sweet potato wedges and coleslaw. Leftovers ideal for lunches.
Big quiche with potato salad, and mixed salad.
Linguine with arabiata sauce and garlic bread
Salmon, new potato, pesto, green veg tray bake.
Fajitas with choice of chicken or beef, veg, salsa, guacamole, sour cream.
Curry, dhal, rice, mango chutney, popadoms, onion salad

Sausage rolls realfood.tesco.com/recipes/the-ultimate-sausage-roll.html
Fill-your-own baguettes with a choice of simple fillings
Chicken or falafel wraps (use frozen shop bought falafel)
Onion and bacon tart www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/caramelised-onion-bacon-tart - this freezes well and the freezing instructions are in step 3
