Gin and rum recommendations

Can anyone recommend really good gins or dark rums? I don’t drink either but I want to get some special gifts for a couple of people. Preferably something a bit unusual. Ta!

Cotswolds dry gin is really nice too

Both the rums I've mentioned aren't spiced they're dark. Husbands family are from St Lucia and this is what they drink and they know their rum

Gins - Brilliant from the South Coast and Harris from the north coast. For flavoured ones Tanqueray Sevilla or Rangpur.

Gin - gunpowder or Dingle

I love gin but I tend to drink flavoured gins with Indian Tonic water. My favourites are probably Chase pink grapefruit and Juni 93 raspberry and plum, they are a bit more on the expensive side though.

I don't really drink rum but I've heard Dead Man's Fingers is good and they do lots of different flavours including coffee and hazelnut. If it's just plain dark rum you're after, my father in law always goes for Woods Navy Rum.

Wood's Navy Rum. The Gold Label variety if you can find it.

Love the Kraken rum with ginger beer, but Aldi Old Hopking Sea Dog dark rum is really nice.
Gins, it's worth considering that not everyone likes flavoured gin. As a plain gin I like Bathtub.

Whitby gin is nice too and a lovely bottle to put lights in afterwards.
