I did a post like this a while ago and it was so lovely, so thought I would do it again! Big or small, come and tell us what you’re proud of today / this week / this year so we can all cheer each other on :)

I will start:

  • My twins (4) got their first school reports today. I fought a year long battle including tribunals to get them into the right specialist school and seeing all the progress they’ve made makes me so happy and proud of them
  • Yesterday I finished this piece after months of chipping away at it, and then three solid days of work which has left my back completely busted. But I love it and I’m so happy I did something challenging!

Oh wow OP, that’s beautiful! What’s the medium? (Apologies if it should be obvious, I’m looking at the photos on my phone)

My DS deliberately came last in his sports day race today. He slowed right down and let another kid who is his friend pass him; he told me afterwards that he did it because his friend would have been sad to come last, but he doesn’t care about that sort of thing. That made my heart swell.

That is so bloody beautiful - what an amazing kid. You must be so proud of him.

Thank you - it’s a paper cut (just cut out of a piece of paper with scalpel blades). I’ve been getting back into it since my twins started school and it’s lovely to have some time to work on it.

That’s great to hear, because you’re obviously extremely talented. Do you sell your work?

I was indeed proud of DS. He has ASD and really doesn’t “get” the idea of competitive sport 😂 But he clearly “gets” friendship and empathy, both of which we were told he might struggle with, so that’s worth celebrating.

Oh that’s so brilliant - my twins are both autistic too, I would be completely overwhelmed if they ever did anything like that! What a sweetheart he is!

I just have a little Etsy shop at the moment while I get back into it :)
