Face wash for a 13yo boy

Ds has started to get a greasy nose, and whiteheads/blackheads are starting to form. He has started to become a bit self conscious of it too.

Any recommendations for a face wash that he could use please? He doesn’t have allergies or any skin issues.

My 14 year old uses freederm wash and cream but I also bought him one of those vibrating silicone exfoliating brushes from Amazon.
The combination has been really good and his skin is lovely.

I was the spotty kid at his age so I've taught him early about having a good skin routine!

Thank you. I will get the freederm. I’ve never heard of the vibrating face brushes before! Did you buy a cheap one? I can see that some are about £10, I don’t know if they’re effective enough - I hope so!

Creighton's charcoal face scrub is a hit with my boys...only around a quid in home bargains.

I was about to recommend Creightons too, such good value (teen skin product really add up £ wise) my DS3 is getting very good results with their salicylic acid with white clay wash, im thinking of trying it myself! It's working well on blackheads and sebaceous filaments.

Neutrogena Grapefruit wash seems to keep this kind of skin under control for my DSs

Also, watch your towels, mine have been ruined by spot cream bleaching over the years, I've given up and will buy new ones when they have left home.

Cerave! Plz don't get the beaded face washes, they cause micro tears in skin and make things a lot worse long term. Cerave is amazing for teens and really great for boys too as it has very neutral labels.

Mine uses this face wash and then wipes over his skin with this stuff - he still has spotty phases, especially when he's been wearing his mask all day at school, but it's much better than it was.

my teens use bar soap daily but switch to an acetyl salicylic acid wash (cheap own brand) when they have outbreaks. and an asc gel to dab on badly inflamed spots.

My teen uses Avene Cleanance gel wash, a little goes a long way and it works well. They also use the cleanance moisturiser too.

To avoid getting your towels ruined and or them going to the trouble of washing their face and then grabbing a not too fresh hand towel to dry it 🙄 I keep a stack of clean flannels by the sink for them to dry their face on.

Mine use la Roche posay effaclar face wash and it's improved their skin 100% - no more spots! They also use a toner with salicylic acid in 2/3 times a week.

They've got quite sensitive skin but the above doesn't seem to irritate.
