Cloth reusable pads which stay in place!

Can anyone recommend any reusable pads which don't end up sliding around?!

I have 3 which I bought 18months ago and have used about 4 times. The one time I wore one out the house it slid right back as I walked and leaked! It has the poppers underneath too so thought it would be fairly secure. Have since been put off using them unless at home.

Would like to try more as currently having quite painful periods and hoping CSP will help with that!

Thank you

I love the ones I got off Amazon, I can find a link but they may be ones you’ve already tried. Day and nighttime sizes, poppers, bamboo gusset I think and pretty floral patterns. They’ve never budged an inch or leaked or given me any hassle. They’re the only ones I’ve tried and I usually use them with a cup but last month I couldn’t be bothered emptying it every half so just used the pads.

I think mine are from cheeky wipes. Soft and fleecy with a charcoal centre so doesn't show stains. The fleece is grippy so they don't slide, two popper options so you can tighten them more.

The other thing to look as is the knickers you wear. My period knickers are big and close fitting so there's less room for things to slide around.

Alternatively try period pants? Nothing would slip then Smile

I bought them nearly 7 years ago so not certain but these look similar

I use imse vimse long length pads and haven't had any problems with them moving about. I agree that the pants you wear them with are important too, I wear some from Primark that are full brief style but made out of a very stretchy, synthetic, seamless fabric - they work brilliantly with cloth pads.

Cheeky wipes, I've never had a problem with them moving.

I’ve got cloth pads from Etsy and they’re fine for nighttime but they’d look a bit bulky under tight jeans. They don’t slip about. I do wear them with tight fitting underwear though.

I do think period pants are comfier and more reliable though. I’ve got some M&S period pants and I’m honestly so impressed with them.

My Cheeky Wipes pads move and twist and don't stay flat against me, although they are marginally better if I choose the 'right' knickers, as mentioned. I use them if I'm at home in addition or occasionally instead of my cup but I won't be buying more - too expensive to keep forking out to try other brands. Want to try pants but also expensive for initial outlay.

You could try the awfully-named interlabial pads - they're mini pads that go where the name suggests. Good for supplementing other regular pads for heavy periods or to avoid any wet feeling. I got mine from Amazon & Etsy but other places do them. The only thing to be wary of is them falling down the loo as you don't realise they're there!

Ewanismydreamsheep · 14/07/2021 09:01

I use wear ‘em out and they stay in place really well. I have a fairly active job with lifting etc and an active toddler at home and they stay in place with all the running around I do!

Bloom & nora are excellent. I find the maxi pads a bit bulky though so I only wear them to bed

LabiaMinoraPissusFlapus · 14/07/2021 09:11

ImseVimse are good I find.

Dame pads work for me

Thank you everyone! Lots of recommendations to be looking at.

I will also look at period pants- I discounted them before as until recently I used to do 13 hour shifts and I didn't think they'd last that long.
