Pre work nerves

I've not slept at all, I'm absolutely shitting myself. I'm only doing an early so only 9 hours but I really don't want to go.

How bad would it look if I quit 2 months into a new job. It's the nhs and I hate it. My face doesn't fit in the team, I only work 3 long days but I don't sleep before hand and I'm so worried.

I've applied for a different job and got an interview in a couple of weeks but how do I explain a job move within 2 months of starting? As soon as I started I knew I'd fucked hi. It's just so toxic

I think this is more common than you think. Most employers are pragmatic. Particularly if it has been a massive culture change as moving from anywhere else to the NHS must be. You'll find a form of words for interview to explain why you're leaving that doesn't put you in a bad light, but also doesn't risk criticising the sainted health service.

More important than a quick move is to have somewhere to go to before resigning. You're less attractive to an employer if you look impulsive. Plus you might get desperate while out of work and end up making another wrong choice - which would be more difficult to explain.

So focus on your job applications for now, always have another one pending in case of rejection to keep hope/spirits up. Take comfort during difficult working days that you have a plan to escape.

@Elbie79 thank you, today has been so depressingly bad. Just 45 mins left
