Hi, my 4 year old son has been fine using the toilet alway until the last 4 month he has decided to stop going and is constanly wetting himself all day everyday,we can ask him constantly all day do you need wee do you need to go to the toilet and he will tell me no or its already to late again as hes peed his pants,im at my wits end now worrying it might be something else but he doesnt complain of any discomfort pain or anything at all he just wets all day,it doesnt even seem to bother him either as ive said to him also if he does it again i will keep him in his wet pants and see how he reacts to that, again he was not bothered,a friend of mine has said that she knows someone who used to wet everyday and apparently its because the child could not feel he needed to wee until it was actually there and out..how will i no if this is the case,my gp and hv have told me to just keep asking for toilet and taking him but it still happens..am i alone in this or is there other mams who are going through the same? please any advice would be so grateful, thankyou so much

Has anything changed for him in the last few months? New sibling? New school? Etc

Any other changes? Drinking lots? Change in weight? Mood? Hunger?

Is he drinking a lot? I'd be querying diabetes if nothing else in his life has changed.

Diabetes:

What are the 4 Ts?
Toilet - Going to the toilet a lot, bed wetting by a previously dry child or heavier nappies in babies
Thirsty - Being really thirsty and not being able to quench the thirst
Tired - Feeling more tired than usual
Thinner - Losing weight or looking thinner than usual

Distraction - institute regular routine toilet visits 2 hourly then extend time between visits.

Emotional/psychological reaction to stress. Is there any reason why he doesn't want to go in the toilet for example.
