PULL IN PANTS HELP!

OneMamaAndHerGirl · 08/07/2021 14:04

I need the power of MN to help me find some AMAZING & MAGICAL pull in pants. I’ve gained a shit tonne of weight and I look horrific (for me), I have a wedding in 6 weeks and simply haven’t lost enough to feel comfortable. I’ve ordered a dress that will show my tummy but I simply love it and I’m hoping I’ll feel slightly okay-ish in it.

So please can you all give me tips on which are the best suck ins out there!

Also I know I could change dress but I’m going to feel crap no matter what I wear so I may aswell feel crap in something I love 🤣. Please and thank you!

Sorry, I misread that as pulling pants and thought that’s a phrase I haven’t heard for about 20 years!

The original Spanx brand are worth shelling out for. They're the best at pulling in imo, rather than just smoothing/not leaving lines.

My advice would be this. Stick that beautiful dress on and look fabulous. Do not pour yourself into some pants that cause a hernia when you try to pull them up and make you feel claustrophobic and uncomfortable. I honestly don't think anyone would know the difference. I honestly think they will just think you look amazing.

Summer house’s advice is good, but I do understand the wish for smoother lines. I don’t have any pull-in recommendations but Is your lovely dress lined? If not, consider wearing a petticoat or slip. I find a slip or chemise often helps dresses hang better and skim over the bits I’d rather they didn’t cling to,

That is quite honestly the nicest thing anyone has ever said to me! Thank you very much. I am gonna wear that bloody dress and a massive smile to go with it. Thank you so much Smile

Shapermint has some of the best shapewear I've bought in years. I have their shorts and their camisole and eyeing up the swimming costume.

This is my favourite thread that I have read, ever. So proud of you OP. Radiance and beauty and confidence shining through. Go totally floor them all! I know you will. FlowersFlowersFlowers

Totally agree, the only person who will notice whether your tummy is pulled in is you and it's not worth the bloody discomfort! Wear your lovely dress, hold your head high and slap on a smile, that's all anyone will remember about the way you looked. Oh and have a lovely time Smile

Fab advice there from summerhouse!

I do know from personal experience though how self conscious you can get if you are sitting with people who you feel are more slim / glam than you! I must have spent a fortune on fat pants over the years but I don't think they do anything for me except make me uncomfortable. The best thing I have found for giving a flattering fit is a slip that pulls you in, I got mine in M & S. Much more comfortable than the pants!

You will be far more confident if you are comfortable in what you are wearing so go with what feels good on and have a great time!
