Say it isn't so! The Tour can't be over! I haven't started watching it yet this year...I didn't realise it was happening now...I've watched it over 10 years...the first year BIL made us watch it on his(unbeknownst to us, broken) big screen tv...the riders looked like ghosts...I questioned him...of course he said, "SP, its supposed to look like that" just call me gullible..
I was so happy the next year when he moved out, we had our own t.v. and I could actually 'see' the riders! Goofball BIL!

Despite its pronunciation, just deserts, with one s, is the proper spelling for the phrase meaning "the punishment that one deserves." The phrase is even older than dessert, using an older noun version of desert meaning "deserved reward or punishment," which is spelled like the arid land, but pronounced like the sweet ...
