What nibbles would you want to eat in a gadren do ( for new neighbours) end July?

WE moved into a new house in December and kept saying we would have a party, subject to covid etc etc and finally posted scrappy invites through letter boxes yesterday so committed now. But what food would you be ok to eat if prepared by someone you don't really know? Would it still seem risky by late July?

Barbecued things, vegetarian for me but obviously meat for most others. Crisps, olives, nuts - possibly use lots of small serving dishes dotted around, maybe 'per family', so people aren't all dipping their fingers into one bowl.

Charcuterie board? With cheeses, cured meats, figs, grapes and crackers?

I would eat everything…

But yes maybe best to avoid anything like dips where there’s a risk of double dipping/cross contamination

And have serving spoons/tongs for everything if you can

Halloumi fries in little paper cones or bags realfood.tesco.com/recipes/halloumi-fries.html

So do people think they wouldn't mind taking food from a plate of say cold meat that everyone takes from? If each person uses their own cutlery is there no health risk here?

I attended similar recently and the food was all served in big bowls e.g salads, quiche, charcuterie etc. Everyone used serving spoons/tongs to help themselves. I would avoid bowls of food where people use their fingers e.g crisps.
