If you've lost 3-4stone....

Have you managed to be toned/trim too? I've lost 2 and a bit stone, with a view to losing 1 - 1.5 more. I feel like my stomach and boobs are softer and saggier than they were when I was fatter. Its like they're deflated. Standing up my stomach looks OK, but sitting down or heaven forbid leaning forward, it's awful . It hangs if I lean forward. Blush

I will still be at the top end of the healthy bmi range, but that is the right place for me.

I'm 43 and have had 2 , frankly massive,babies. 1 c section.

It gradually improved over time. Wear structured knickers in the mean time as that seems to help

I've lost the same amount as you and I'm late 40s. No babies/c-section but I've had an abdominal hysterectomy which ruins your stomach muscles in a similar way to a c-section.

I'm not too bad from the waist up, but my stomach looks like a sack that was full of potatoes, and now has about 1/3 of the potatoes left at the bottom. I can't suck it in as I used to be able to before my operation - the bit beneath my ribs will suck in fine, but the bottom half just hangs.

I need to lose about another stone and a half so I'm hoping it'll look better when I get there.

I lost 2 stone and had this. 9 months on it's got much better by itself. The only excercise I do is walking. I think its a skin thing. The skin is stretched so doesn't hold the remaining soft fat as tight to the body as it used to. Once the skin tightens up it gets better.

Thank you. Its not too lumpy, but just so soft and hangy.

I'm not sure that exercise will help, I'm reasonably active, on my feet a lot , but no real structured exercise.

I really hope it does improve. I'm not sure how I'd look if I hadn't had a few fat years, I was pretty fit before. Sad

Lifting free weights has really helped me.

Excercise is supposed to help by bulking out the saggy bits with muscle. But I reckon you would need to work pretty hard. I'd be patient. They say what you're left with after a year of maintaining your lower weight is it but until then things do improve by themselves.

That was mu fear with exercise. I could do a bit, but I kustcdobt have the opportunity (chikd free time) to really go for it . In the meantime, I will try to up my activity levels in general
